Hello world!!! 05/03/2009
Hi! Welcome to Erin Lodge’s website. Erin is 6 years old and is our eldest beautiful daughter, who we adore and love……Erin has a 2 1/2 year old Sister, Macy, equally adorable and truly loved, and between the two of them there are lots of smiles and cheekiness and laughter!

Erin has Peri Ventricular Leukomalacia with Hydracephalus. Or, to you and me, Cerebral Palsy. Erin has never been formally diagnosed with CP, we have always been told cerebral palsy is an ‘Umbrella Term’. However when talking about Erin to proferssionals, friends, family or other parents it is easier to say “Cerebral Palsy”, rather than “Peri-Ventricular Leukomalacia with Hydacephalus”, which always gets greeted with a “Huh??”!
We have created this website for two reasons. The first being that when we had Erin we felt so alone, so misinformed and the lack of information and help was tough to deal with. Erin was born 8 weeks premature and we entered a whole new world……..Endless google-ing and researching different therapies has been our part time job and we thought having a place where all of this information is accessable would be a great idea. If you are a parent going through a similar experience to what we have been through with Erin, well, we hope this helps you. Read our ‘All about Erin’ page…..
The second reason for this website is to fundraise for Erin. We take Erin to different therapies and it costs alot of money! Whilst we dont expect to have the money handed to us on a plate we find fundraising helps to not only raise awareness of Cerebral Palsy but also helps us to pay for Erin’s expensive treatments. So without your help and support we wouldn’t be able to do the things we do for her, so a big thank you to you all!
We are going to Slovakia in April for two weeks to visit the Adeli Centre for treatment for Erin. The therapy has been paid for from previous fundrasing events we have organised and participated in, and we hope to be able to fund further treatments for Erin in this way. We would like to thank all those that have supported us in our fundraising mission, without you all of this wouldn’t be possible!
We hope you find the website useful and please leave any comments or suggestions!
We will be updating the site from time to time and adding info, it’s look may even change too…..we would like to dedicate this site to our very good friend Joe Davis, who without his help and patience this would not of been possible…..Thanks Uncle Joe xxx
